Pictures from the Just-Concluded NYSC BATCH B 2014 Orientation Camp 1

Before I commence this blog, lets all recite the NATIONAL PRAYER

O God of creation,
Direct our noble course
Guide thou our leaders right
Help our youths the truth to know
In love and honesty to grow
And living just and true
Great lofty heights attain
To build a nation
Where peace and justice reign.

THE NYSC ANTHEM
Youths, Obey the clarion
Let us lift our nation high
Under the sun and in the rain
With dedication and selflessness
Nigeria is ours, Nigeria we serve

Corpers Wee!!! Waa!!!.
The 3weeks orientation camp can be defined in various terms by various people. For some, it was EXPLOSIVE. Some, UP-TIGHT. Some, BORING. Some, LONGSUFFERING and so on. Camp to different people means different things. While a part were catching and passing fun, others were having it tough.
In this blog, we'll be seeing different pictures of corpers who served in diverse states in the country.

As peculiar to Nigerian movie industry, WATCHOUT FOR PART2!!!

Re: How Relationships start nowadays

One beautiful day, Lady A was invited to a birthday bash somewhere in Lagos by a friend. Being the social type, she honored the invitation. There were lots to eat and drink. The music was good and there were lots to feed the eyes with.

The party was well attended. Important young men and women were present. After the munching, wine was served. As expected, this triggered folks to the dance floor. Lots of fire-dancers. No jokes. These babes are good. The whyning, grinding, twerking and all.

Meanwhile, Lady A, was in her little corner doing her thing. She had a call which she had to pick at a less nosiy place. On returning, Guy P, who had been scoping in a corner, approached her. She agreed to dance with him, being the free-spirited lady she is. One led to the other, they got talking. Lady A, who was a bit tipsy, started giving Guy P her dos and donts. As
a normal guy, all that went.

Gbam!!! Na so relationship start o. They began to see more of eachother. It can best be called 'Kori Kosun' according to the Yorubas. It was fun. Sure you know how blissful relationships are at the very beginning. Lady P won't have a complete day if she didn't hear from Guy P, and vice versa. Na so the thing go.

The saying "Good things don't last" isn't farfetched in the case of this lovebirds. The calls reduced, the chats became read and left unreplied, passing a camel through the eye of a needle was easier than the lovebirds seeing eachother.
Like Chinua Achebe's book says: Things fell apart. Being the believer Lady A is, she still tried, fought tooth and nail to keep the communication lines open. But it was like she was in team O.Y.O. She felt bitter! Downtrodden! Depressed! Dejected! Why? Because she gave her all to make the relationship work.

In a space of 2 months, LOVE had a big question mark attached to it in their lives. She began hanging out with the girls. Never a dull moment with them! She started regaining her confidence, her joy returned, smile was all over her face, if a horse was raced inside her, it wont miss a step at all. She's gotten her heart back.

This story may have happened to you, or someone close to you. That's exactly how The Relationship scene is nowadays. Guys make babes fall in love with them. And when babes try to be in the dating world, it just doesn't last. Things go wrong. Differences become unsettled. The drift comes in. They stop communicating, and they become ex(s). So the circle goes again.

All hope is not lost. As long you're alive, there will still be moments of heartbreak. Some will break you completely, some will strengthen you to be a better woman. When you decide to move on to the next 'pest' called guys (they won't stop coming.) Just be sure to open your eyes cos love no dey wear glasses this days. Love freely, make new friends. But be sure to guard your heart jealously no matter how crazy in Love you are.
And by the way, Has someone told you that Relationships that generate from Social Media don't last at all. The longest won't exceed 3 months before the guy gets his fill from you and go back to his itinerary to ping the next available chick.
Be wise!
Ttyl.
